COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive is an 8 hour program designed to instruct students on how to work safely in and around hydrogen sulphide (H2S) environments through lectures, demonstrations and hands-on practice.

DESIGNED FOR: Personnel who may work in an H2S atmosphere.

TOPICS INCLUDE:

• Physical Properties of H2S
• Health Hazards of H2S
• Protection of H2S
• Basic Rescue Techniques
• Operation of a Self Contained Breathing Apparatus
• Rescue lifts and drags

PREREQUISITES

Participants must be physically capable to perform the required exercises to pass the program (e.g., employees not on Workers’ Compensation or light duty).

CERTIFICATION:

Upon successful completion of the written exam with a minimum score of 70%, you will receive a Certificate of Completion that is valid for three years.
